Save the whales in Bridport

Title: The whale and her baby (1998)

The whale comes from Bremen and the baby was born beneath Golden cap. Whales shouldn’t be killed, shouldn’t they? By the way, the blue stocking is a story on its own. (Another lovely lady). The colour blue is a representation of the seven sees, the artist has sailed when he was a sailor aboard merchant ships. I tell you a story. The big beech tree from Bremen was to become a piece of wood carving. But shortly after the artist picked up this kind of artwork, he cut his right thumb and had to give in. Save the whales!

This piece is part of an exhibition which is on display at the bar No.10 in Bridport, Dorset, UK. The exhibition can be viewed until end of April 2011.

Stockingart in Bridport

On the 14th of February 2011 an exhibition of fine stockingart will be on display at the bar No.10 in Bridport/Dorset. The artist Horst Lindenau has works on show from 15 years of stockingart, as well as new collages.

Study for blue femme

This painting stated a whole series of blue works in about 1980 and the strong influence of the colour blue is since with me. No surprise, the sea is blue, the sky is blue and my art is blue.

The way

This photo was taken in 2005 and it is a symbol for a way, a way we all go, can go, should go, not going because we do not realise, that this way is only available for a short period of time. And during this time only we can walk the way.

The ocean is bigger

This sea image was taken by me in 1981. The coastal liner just past the Street of Dover.

25 kg Speisekartoffeln

25 kg Speisekartoffeln was done in 1986 by Horst Lindenau, Hoope, Germany.
The work is a mixed media, painting and collage, size 68 x 43 cm, oil on canvas, varnished.

Blue femme

Blue femme was painted by Fredie Krüger in about 1980. Later the picture was handed to Johnbook, who rearranged the whole lot and a new painting was created on top of the old one. The new title is "Blue femme". Basicly painted with acrylics, but in parts the artist used his own cum. Painting is app. 80 x 100 cm and now in private property in Berlin, Germany.
